• After the Generals' (2-1) defense forced a three-and-out on Salisbury's (2-0) opening possession, the offense wasted little time getting on the scoreboard. Marc Geffrard opened the drive with a 37-yard rush to the Salisbury 28-yard line before Ryan Clemens capped the eight-play, 65-yard drive with a 1-yard touchdown run to give the visitors a 7-0 lead.
• The Sea Gulls responded with an eight-play, 75-yard scoring drive to even the game at 7. A 47-yard rush from Dario Belizaire moved Salisbury to the W&L 21-yard line before quarterback SyRus McGowan capped the drive with a 2-yard touchdown run.
• The Blue and White marched to the Salisbury 17-yard line on their ensuing possession, covering 58 yards on 13 plays. Facing fourth-and-5, Grant Snyder lined up for a 37-yard field goal attempt, but his kick sailed wide to keep the game tied. The Sea Gulls responded with another touchdown drive as Malachi Dokes capped an eight-play, 80-yard possession with a 1-yard rushing score to put Salisbury in front, 14-7.
• W&L took more than eight minutes off the clock on its next possession, putting together a 20-play, 75-yard scoring drive that ended with a 2-yard touchdown run from Anthony Crawford. On the ensuing extra-point attempt, Dylan Lyerly blocked Snyder's kick before Thamir Jones returned it for a defensive two-point conversion, giving the Sea Gulls a 16-13 advantage.
• Back-to-back W&L punts set up a pair of Salisbury scoring drives. McGowan connected with Belizaire for a 67-yard touchdown to extend the Sea Gulls' lead to 23-13. On their next possession, Dokes capped a 10-play, 54-yard drive with a 1-yard touchdown run to give Salisbury a 29-13 advantage.
• The Sea Gulls' defense forced a three-and-out on W&L's ensuing possession, leading to another Salisbury touchdown. Dokes found the end zone for the third time, scoring on a 7-yard run to extend the lead to 36-13 in the fourth quarter.
• The Blue and White threatened on their next possession as Ty Collins broke free for a 46-yard run to the Salisbury 24-yard line. However, Collins was intercepted on the next play, and Brayden Rogers followed with a 45-yard touchdown run to seal Salisbury's 43-13 win.

• The Generals fell to 2-1 on the season with the loss while dropping their fourth consecutive game to the Sea Gulls.
• W&L produced 341 yards of total offense on 67 plays, averaging 5.1 yards per play. The Blue and White rushed for 251 yards and two touchdowns on 48 carries while completing nine passes for 90 yards. Despite the loss, the Generals controlled possession for 31:48.
• W&L converted 6 of 15 third-down attempts (40%) while moving the chains on 4 of 5 fourth-down attempts (80%).

• The Sea Gulls improved to 2-0 on the season while defeating the Generals for the fourth consecutive season. The victory also marked Salisbury's third straight game with at least 40 points.
• Salisbury generated 473 yards of total offense on 54 plays, averaging 8.8 yards per play. The Sea Gulls rushed for 345 yards and five touchdowns on 44 carries while adding 128 yards and a touchdown through the air on six completions.

• SyRus McGowan led all passers, completing 6 of 10 passes (60%) for 128 yards and a touchdown while adding 65 yards and a score on the ground. Ty Collins completed 9 of 19 passes (47.4%) for 90 yards with one interception while rushing eight times for 63 yards.
• Dario Belizaire accounted for a game-high 202 yards of total offense, leading all rushers with 90 yards on seven carries while hauling in four passes for 112 yards and a touchdown. Ryan Clemens paced the Blue and White rushing attack with 80 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries, while Anthony Crawford also found the end zone.
• Teddy Sparrow led the Generals' receiving corps with four catches for 65 yards, including a 25-yard reception.
• Dylan Lyerly led the Sea Gulls' defensive effort with 12 tackles, including two solo stops. Patrick Sheil recorded a team-high 1.5 tackles for loss while adding an interception. Brennan Stout paced the Generals with nine tackles, including three solo stops. Safeties Allan Gushue and Tucker Washburn each recorded a team-high four solo tackles, while Randolph Smith registered a sack.

• Anthony Crawford's second-quarter touchdown moved him into sole possession of fifth place in program history with 30 career rushing touchdowns, surpassing Brett Murray '13. Crawford also moved into ninth place on W&L's career touchdowns list, passing Kevin Weaver '87.

• The Generals head into the bye week next week before opening up conference play on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 4 p.m. against Averett University for Parents and Family Weekend.
