INDIANAPOLIS – The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced the 2026 Division III Men's Tennis Team Championship field on Monday, and Washington and Lee will take on Carnegie Mellon in Swarthmore, Pa.
The Generals (12-10) have a bye through the first round and drew a matchup against No. 8 Carnegie Mellon (14-5) in the second round on the campus of Swarthmore College. On the other side of the pod, Allegheny (17-7) and Penn State Behrend (18-4) will play in Friday's first round, with the winner advancing to play the host Garnet (20-6).
The Gators rolled through Presidents' Athletic Conference regular season and postseason play to win the conference championship and get the automatic bid, while the Lions are winners of this season's Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championship.
Swarthmore and W&L round out the conference champions and automatic qualifiers in this weekend's pod. The Garnet rolled to the Centennial Conference championship, while the Generals reclaimed the ODAC title at home over the weekend. The Tartans received an at-large bid into the championship field after falling to Emory in the University Athletic Association third-place match, 4-2.
Saturday's two winning teams will meet in Sunday's regional final, with that winning team moving on to the national quarterfinals in Chattanooga, Tenn., on May 19. More information about this weekend's matches will be announced throughout the week.
