FOREST, Va. – The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) announced its 2026 Women's Golf all-conference teams and award winners, and Washington and Lee had four players recognized.
First-year
Toral Bhatt was named the conference Rookie of the Year, while senior
Julia Haetzel was voted the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar Athlete of the Year. Bhatt also made the All-ODAC First Team, along with sophomore
Berkeley Bundy, and Haetzel was joined on the All-ODAC Second Team by first-year
Mackenzie Cline. Additionally, Haetzel was also W&L's representative on the ODAC's Sportsmanship Team.
Bhatt's season was most recently highlighted by claiming the 2026 ODAC Women's Golf Individual Championship earlier this week at Williamsburg National Golf Club. Bhatt shot 2-under (70) in round three to vault into the lead and complete a three-round, even-par 216 (72-74-70), which set program records for 54-hole score and 54-hole score-to-par.
Overall this season, Bhatt has played in all 19 rounds for the Generals and posted a 73.9 average score, with a 475-145-20 head-to-head record. Her win at the conference championship was her second of the season (Stith Invitational), and she has placed inside the Top 10 in each of her last three outings.
Haetzel has put together another strong season for the Generals, on top of being a consistent player throughout her career, both on and off the course. The 2023 ODAC Individual Champion, Haetzel has logged a scoring average of 77.1 across the last three seasons, including a 77.0 in 19 rounds played as a senior and a 13th-place finish at the ODAC Championship. Not only has Haetzel been an 18-Hole Pin Flag honoree at the conference championship each season, she has placed inside the Top 15 all four years.
Off the course, Haetzel is an accounting & finance and English double-major and a 2025-26 recipient of the Maxwell P. Wilkinson Scholarship in English. Haetzel is a three-time WGCA Scholar All-American, a President's List student and has been recognized as a W&L Scholar Athlete in each term of her academic career. Following graduation, Haetzel will be working as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Structured Finance team at Santander Corporate & Investment Bank.
After being an All-ODAC Third Team selection as a first-year, Bundy moved up to claim one of six First Team spots after being one of W&L's most consistent golfers this season. Bundy took fifth at the ODAC Championship at 8-over par (76-74-75—225) to make the All-Tournament Team with Bhatt, and she holds a 73.9 average score across all 19 rounds played this season. Bundy has two Top 5 finishes this year and five Top 15s, as well.
Cline rounds out the W&L honorees with an All-ODAC Second Team citation. She has also played in all 19 rounds for W&L this season with a 75.8 average. Cline's top finish this season was at the ODAC Championship (7th | 77-78-73—228), which was also her third Top 15 placing of the season.
With a runner-up finish at the 2026 ODAC Women's Golf Championship, the Generals now await the NCAA Division III Championship release to see if they qualify for the national tournament. The field will be announced via press release on NCAA.com on May 11.
