Gillum Resets Program Record, Posts Division III Top Five Mark at VMI Winter Relays

LEXINGTON, Va. - Senior Camille Gillum of the Washington and Lee University women's track and field team reset her own program record in the high jump on day one of the VMI Winter Relays.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE MEET
  • Gillum highlighted the meet by posting the fourth-best mark in Division III this season in the high jump. She cleared the first two heights (1.55m and 1.60m) on her first attempts before getting over the bar on her final attempt at 1.65m. Gillum then reset her own program record by clearing 1.70m (5'-07.00") on her second attempt to secure a second-place finish.
  • Charlotte Gardner, Kaia Beddows, Kate Odell, and Julie Anne Bush teamed up in the distance medley relay, finishing in eighth with a time of 12:47.90, the eighth-fastest mark in program history.
  • Layla Keadle and Mad McMurphy both competed in the pole vault, with Keadle leading the duo with a fourth-place finish after clearing 3.45m (11'-03.75"). McMurphy followed with a sixth-place finish, posting a mark of 3.30m (10'-10.00").
