ADA, Ohio — Washington and Lee University qualified a program-record five wrestlers for the NCAA Division III Championships on Saturday, as Liam Flanagan (157), Carter Stack (285), Evan Lindner (149), Vincent Ziccardi (133), and Skyler Hickman (141) punched their tickets at the NCAA Region IV Championships hosted by Ohio Northern. The Generals finished fourth overall with 153.5 team points.

157 – Liam Flanagan (1st Place) – NCAA Qualifier
Flanagan authored a dominant run to the 157-pound title, capping the weekend with a 10–4 decision over Londen Murphy (Ohio Northern) in the championship bout.
The sophomore went undefeated across the two-day tournament, recording two falls on Friday before adding semifinal and finals decisions Saturday. He totaled 24 team points and controlled the bracket from start to finish in earning his first NCAA berth.
285 – Carter Stack (1st Place) – NCAA Qualifier
Stack secured the heavyweight crown with a 5–2 decision over Andrew Vanscoy (Baldwin Wallace) in the finals.
The sophomore posted four victories, including a technical fall and a major decision, showcasing both power and composure. After finishing fifth at last year's regional meet, Stack returns to nationals as a regional champion and first-time NCAA qualifier.
133 – Vincent Ziccardi (2nd Place) – NCAA Qualifier
Ziccardi advanced to the championship bout at 133 pounds before finishing runner-up, securing his second NCAA Championship appearance. He recorded three wins on the weekend, including a semifinal victory over Chase Vanderhorst (Ohio Northern), and totaled 17 team points.
141 – Skyler Hickman (2nd Place) – NCAA Qualifier
Hickman delivered a breakthrough regional performance, reaching the finals after a dramatic sudden-victory semifinal win. He finished second to top-seeded Mark Samuel (Roanoke), earning his first NCAA Championship berth and scoring 19 team points.
149 – Evan Lindner (3rd Place) – NCAA Qualifier
Lindner earned his third career NCAA qualification. After an early championship bracket loss, the senior responded with four straight wins in the consolation bracket, including a technical fall, a fall and two sudden-victory decisions. His third-place finish highlighted his experience and resilience under pressure.
165 – Mark Troni (4th Place, 4-2)
Troni placed fourth at 165 pounds, earning three wins in the consolation bracket, including a fall and a decision. He contributed 18 team points for the Generals.
Wright finished fourth after recording three victories over the weekend, including wins against competitors from Otterbein and Averett.
Santowski advanced to the semifinals before dropping tight decisions to Myles Johnson (Ohio Northern) and returning All-American Joseph Petrella (Baldwin Wallace). He totaled 15.5 team points.

Devin Sweeney battled through four matches, earning two falls on the day, before being eliminated in the consolation bracket.
