TEMPE, Ariz. – Washington and Lee University's men's tennis team has been recognized for outstanding academic achievement by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), with 12 players earning ITA Scholar-Athlete awards and the team receiving the ITA All-Academic Team distinction.

To qualify as ITA Scholar-Athletes, student-athletes must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
The W&L men's tennis program also earned the ITA All-Academic Team honor, awarded to teams with a GPA of 3.2 or above. This includes all student-athletes on the eligibility form and factors in the cumulative GPA of varsity letter winners.
In 2024-25, 1,115 Division III men's tennis student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes, and 135 men's tennis programs received the All-Academic Team distinction. These accolades highlight the continued excellence of student-athletes both in the classroom and on the court.
