WINCHESTER, Va. -- The Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) announced the 2024-25 College Division Men's Basketball All-State Teams and award winners on Monday, and Washington and Lee first-year Connor Amorosi was tabbed as the Rookie of the Year.

Amorosi, also the ODAC Rookie of the Year and a Third Team All-ODAC selection, turned in a strong season to open his collegiate career in 2024-25, as he led the Generals and ranked fifth in the conference in scoring average at 15.8 points. He opened and closed his rookie campaign in big ways as he scored 25 in his debut against Immaculata on November 9, before dropping a season-high 30 in the team's season finale against Ferrum on February 22.

Amorosi shot 48-percent (133-277) from the field, including 34.9 percent (22-63) from long range, and 75.4 percent (92-122) at the foul line to log double-digit points in 22-of-24 games, with 15 or more on 14 occasions.

Beyond his scoring output, Amorosi ranked second on the team in rebounds at 5.2 per game while dishing out 32 assists, blocking 11 shots and coming away with 15 steals in 28.8 minutes per game.

The ODAC swept the VaSID College Division major awards, as Roanoke's Clay Nunley was named Coach of the Year, Roanoke's Joshua McClary earned Defensive Player of the Year and Hampden-Sydney's Adam Brazil won Player of the Year.
