LEXINGTON, Va. — The Washington and Lee University wrestling team concluded its regular season with a commanding 55-0 victory over Randolph College in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) dual on Friday night at Doremus Gymnasium. The Generals improved to 15-3 overall and 6-1 in ODAC duals, while Randolph fell to 2-15 overall and 0-6 in conference action.
Prior to the dual, W&L honored the Class of 2025: Harris Foad, Jack McCusker, Harper Meachem, Tade Omisore, and David Rubin. This senior class has led the program to 48 dual victories, contributed to two conference tournament championships, and captured the 2023 ODAC Dual Championship.
The highlight of the night came in the heavyweight bout, where Tade Omisore pinned Thomas Head in just 7 seconds, setting a new program record for the fastest pin. Omisore surpassed the previous mark of 10 seconds, set by Jim Dixon '85 during the 1984-85 season against Furman.
W&L won all 10 bouts, including five by forfeit. Notable performances included Harris Foad (157), who earned a fall in 2:29, and Vincent Ziccardi (133), who recorded an 18-0 technical fall victory in 5:00. Evan Lindner (149) added another technical fall with a 19-4 win in just 2:55.
The Generals will now prepare for the ODAC Championships on Saturday, February 15 in Holekamp Gymnasium, hosted by W&L as they look to add another tournament title to their 2024-25 campaign.
