BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The No. 28 Washington and Lee University's men's cross country team opened the season with a solid performance at Bridgewater on Friday, finishing second with five runners in the top 25.
Henry Haden led the Generals, placing second overall with a time of 20:08.16 in the 6k race. Will DeLoach and Luke Newton followed closely, finishing 3rd and 7th, respectively.
In team scoring, the Generals recorded 47 points, finishing behind Roanoke, which won with 37 points. Shenandoah placed third with 67 points and Bridgewater finished fourth with 75 points.
