FRONT ROYAL, Va. - The eighth-ranked Washington and Lee University women's golf team will open up the 2024 ODAC Women's Golf Tournament on Sunday at the Blue Ridge Shadows Golf Club in Front Royal, Va.
The women's 54-hole championship is slated for Sunday-Tuesday, April 21-23; the tee times will start rolling at 11 a.m. on Sunday. The conference's eight competing squads will compete on the par-72 track set to 5,656 yards, a custom-long distance for this tournament.
While good weather is anticipated for the three day event, any updates on poor weather and changes to the schedule will be communicated as decisions are made on ODAC Athletics social media and on
odaconline.com.
The 2023 ODAC Champion,
Julia Haetzel, did not let the elements stop her from shooting a final round 2-under 69 to win the individual medal last year by one stroke of Lynchburg's Emily Brubaker. Haetzel's round was the lowest 18-hole mark of the tournament, helping her to a 7-over 220.
The Generals have won five straight ODAC team titles, and claimed last season's trophy by 21 strokes over runner-up University of Lynchburg in 2023.
