LEXINGTON, Va. - For the first time in program history, the Washington and Lee University women's basketball team is hosting the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament. Come out and support your Generals at 7:30 p.m. on March 1 in the Richard L. Duchossois Athletic and Recreation Center's Holekamp Gym.

All W&L undergraduate and law student admissions for the games will be covered by Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students and the Office of Student Affairs. The University is also sponsoring the cost of admission for members of the University community who have a Washington and Lee University ID card and present the card at the ticketing table.* 

The Blue and White will take on Vassar College at 7:30 p.m. on Friday night. If the Generals advance to Saturday night's second round contest, admission for the W&L community and all students with a W&L ID will be covered by the University.

W&L fans, families and friends are encouraged to pick up a FREE T-shirt celebrating the occasion at the University Store's registers on Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. or until supplies last. The University is providing the t-shirts and it is hoped that those who attend the game from the university community will wear the t-shirt to the game on Friday night. 

Should the Generals advance to Saturday's second round contest and supplies last, the University Store will hand out the t-shirts to the W&L fans on Saturday during regular business hours, 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

In addition, thanks to a W&L alumnus, students who attend will be eligible to receive a local restaurant gift certificate which will be provided to those students next week.  

Spectators for this weekend's games, without a University ID, are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance through HomeTown Ticketing. Tickets for kids (3-12), students and senior citizens (65+) are $10 and adult tickets are $15.
