FERRUM, Va. - The No. 21 Washington and Lee University wrestling team earned a final regular season win over Ferrum College, 30-16, on Saturday night's ODAC dual.
The Generals (11-5, 5-1 ODAC) recovered from a 10-0 deficit by winning six of the last eight bouts over the Panthers (6-5, 3-3) to earn the season's fifth conference win.
Evan Lindner (149 lbs),
Mark Troni (165 lbs) and
John Santowski (197 lbs) all recorded falls in their respective weight classes to highlight the six wins.
Vincent Ziccardi started the four-bout tilt with a 13-3 major decision at the 141 class, followed by Lindner's six points. Nick Zamaloff's technical fall and Troni's pin gave W&L the 21-10 lead that would be too much to overcome for FC.
Jacob Wright posted a 15-8 decision at the 184 class to round out the six victories.
