LEXINGTON, Va. – The Washington and Lee University field hockey team opened up conference play on Family and Parents weekend with a dominant 9-0 victory over Eastern Mennonite University at W&L Turf Field.
Saturday's crowd saw the Generals (7-2, 1-0 ODAC) jump out to an early 5-0 lead in the first quarter and four more goals in the third quarter. The Royals (0-10, 0-1 ODAC) were unable to register a shot, while W&L peppered the EMU goal with 46 shots, including 26 on target.
Eight different Generals found the back of the net, with first-year Gracie Kaspar recording her first and second collegiate goals to complete the scoring.
