LEXINGTON, Va. - The No. 36 Washington and Lee University men's tennis team earned two wins over Old Dominion Athletic Conference members on Wednesday night.
The Generals (2-0, 2-0 ODAC) swept Randolph-Macon (0-1, 0-1 ODAC) 9-0 and defeated Randolph College (1-1, 0-1) 7-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED

The Blue and White won a pair of doubles and five singles.
The No. 3 pairing of Christian Basnight and Britton Buckingham won in straight games, 8-0. Playing at No. 1, the Evan Erb and Kurani James held off Jacob Martin and Ondra Pelda 8-4. Jake Vo and Jonathan Molner fell to Jason Duval and Andreas Mulner in an 8-5 decision.
In Basnight and Buckingham claimed their singles victories at No. 6 and No. 4, respectively, with just three points dropped combined. Erb defeated Mulner 6-3, 6-1 in the top singles position. Kurani (No. 2) and Vo (No. 3) came out on top over Martin and Pelda.
Molner won his first game 6-2 over Dev Mani, lost the second and ultimately fell 10-5 in the tie-break set.
W&L 9, Randolph-Macon 0
In doubles action, the No. 3 pairing of Eli Hirshberg and Rider Yeaman took down Winston Chapman and Evan Holzmucher 8-0 for the first win. Then, the No. 1 duo, Heys Parker and Josh Rassin, defeated Max Doyle and Braxton Fagan 8-1. At the No. 2 slot, Connor Coleman and Sanjheev Rao won 8-3 over Max Hammock and Mitch Herman.
In singles, Sanjheev (No. 4) and Rassin (No. 5) won in straight sets without dropping a point. Hirshberg (No. 1), Parker (No. 2) and Yeaman (No. 6) won their respective matchups while dropping just one game each.
In the No. 3 singles match, Coleman battled to a 7-5 win in the opening game then went 6-0 in the second to secure the win.
