ORLANDO, Fla. – The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) released the final 2022-23 LEARFIELD Directors' Cup standings on Tuesday at the annual NACDA & Affiliates Convention.
Washington and Lee finished at No. 17 following a spring championship season that produced 375.25 points for the Generals to total 674.75 points for 2022-23.
Men's and women's golf and women's lacrosse all finished ninth in their respective championships to gain points for W&L.
Men's and women's tennis finished 17th for 50 points each and
Evan Langhammer's All-America finish at the Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships brought in seven points.
Men's lacrosse totaled 73 points after advancing to the NCAA quarterfinals.
Johns Hopkins finished on top with 1282.00 points; Tufts came in second with 1126.50 points and third was Williams with 1112.75 points.
Last year, the Generals posted an institutional-best 12th place finish in the final standing with 767.5 overall points.
Directors' Cup points are awarded based on each institution's finish in up to 18 sports in NCAA postseason competition, measured by nine women's sports and nine men's sports. The Director's Cup has been presented every year since 1995-96 and the Generals have finished Top 50 in the standings 16 times, including each of the last seven years it was compiled.
