Wrestling Competes at Messiah Open

.GRANTHAM, Pa. - Members of the Washington and Lee University wrestling team competed at the Messiah Open on Saturday. 

The Generals had seven individuals placed in the top-8 of their respective brackets. 

Evan Lindner (New Milford, Conn. / New Milford), Jack McCusker (Manhasset, N.Y. / Manhasset) and John Santowski (Pittsford, N.Y. / Pittsford Mendon) had the highest finishes in their brackets, fourth place showings in the 141, 184 and 197 weight classes.

Combined, the Blue and White posted a 30-22 record and tallied 152 match points and nine falls.

Among those who recorded pins for the Blue and White were Mark Troni (Denver, Colo. / Mullen) with three, McCusker and Harrison Kelly (Berkeley Heights, N.J. / Governor Livingston) each recorded two and Isaiah Wilson (Winston-Salem, N.C. / Robert B. Glenn) and Lindner posted one fall each.
