LEXINGTON, Va. – Top-seeded Washington and Lee opened an early 6-0 lead and cruised to a 15-6 victory over fourth-seeded Lynchburg in the semifinals of the ODAC Tournament on Saturday at Watt Field.

Walker McKnight (Nashville, Tenn. / Harpeth Hall) got the Generals (16-2) on the board just 44 seconds into the game when she scored an unassisted tally. Junior midfielder
Jenny Lisovicz (Glen Ridge, N.J. / Glen Ridge) followed with a goal of her own off an assist from junior attacker
Allie Schwab (Bryn Mawr, Pa. / Harriton) at the 13:14 mark and the Generals were off and running.
Six different players scored the opening six goals for W&L, with Schwab totaling one goal and two assists during the stretch that gave the Blue & White a 6-0 lead with 10:01 left in the second quarter.
The Hornets (8-11) scored two straight to make it a 6-2 game with 5:52 left in the first half, but W&L scored twice before the intermission and tacked on the first two goals of the second half for a 10-2 lead with 8:45 left in the third period. Sophomore attacker
Hanna Bishop (Bronxville, N.Y. / Bronxville) scored three times during the run.
Lynchburg graduate attacker Nicki Santora scored the first of her three goals on the day at the 8:17 mark of the third period to make it 10-3, but the Generals followed with a five-goal run for a commanding 15-3 lead with just over nine minutes left in the game.
W&L out-shot the Hornets, 27-11, and the Generals claimed a 23-12 edge in ground balls. The Blue & White also forced 26 Lynchburg turnovers during the game.
Schwab led the way with six points on two goals and four assists, while Bishop posted four goals and one assist. Sophomore attacker
Julia Thomson (Larchmont, N.Y. / Hackley School) registered a pair of goals and senior attacker
Katherine Faria (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y. / Cold Spring Harbor) had one goal and one assist. Senior midfielder
McKenna Edmondson (Westfield, N.J. / Westfield) finished with one goal and a game-high five draw controls, while sophomore
Caroline Kranich (State College, Pa. / Mercersburg Academy) played a majority of the game in goal, registering two saves.
Santora paced Lynchburg with three goals and one assist. Graduate midfielder Leah Dumas chipped in one goal and two helpers. First-year goalkeeper Patricia Rogers played most of the game in goal and she made six saves.
Washington and Lee advances to Sunday's ODAC Championship game. The Generals will face second-seeded Roanoke at 2:00 pm.
