LEXINGTON, Va. – The Washington and Lee men's swimming team defeated Washington College, 185-66, and Centre, 174-78, to sweep a home tri-meet on Saturday afternoon.

Highlights from the meet:

-The Generals won 11 of the 14 events on the day and had five different swimmers claim nine individual wins.

-W&L was led by junior
Danny Lynch (Richmond, Va./Trinity Episcopal School), who finished first in the 100 back (52.53), 200 back (1:55.52) and 200 individual medley (1:57.91). Lynch also helped the 200 medley relay (1:35.92) to a first-place finish as well.

Patrick Sullivan (Pawleys Island, S.C./Waccamaw) and sophomore
Steve Warren (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) also had a strong day for the Blue and White, winning two individual races each and contributing to a relay win. Sullivan won the 100 free (47.29) and 200 free (1:44.82) and swam on the winning 200 free relay (1:26.89). Warren touched the wall first in the 100 breast (59.77) and 200 breast (2:13.81) and was part of the 200 medley relay win.

Brian Legarth (Apex, N.C./Apex) and junior
Conner Van Vooren (Morrisville, N.C./Cary Christian School) rounded out the individual winners for the Generals, with Legarth winning the 1000 free (10:33.33) and Van Vooren taking the top spot in the 50 free (21.85).
