PITTSBURGH – The No. 23 Washington and Lee men's swimming team suffered its first dual meet loss on the season, a 191-71 loss to Carnegie Mellon, on Saturday.
Highlights from the meet:
-The Generals placed six different swimmers in the Top 3 in nine different events, tallying a total of 11 top-three finishes.
-Sophomore Danny Lynch (Richmond, Va./Trinity Episcopal School) won the 200 butterfly (1:53.24) and added a second-place finish in the 200 individual medley (1:59.00) and a third-place effort in the 200 backstroke (1:55.86).
-Sophomore Patrick Sullivan (Pawleys Island, S.C./Waccamaw) posted a pair of runner-up finishes in the 100 (47.20) and 200 freestyle (1:43.04) events.

-Patrick Sullivan –2nd 100 freestyle (47.20), 2nd 200 freestyle (1:43.04)
-Steve Warren – 2nd 100 breaststroke (59.10), 3rd 200 breaststroke (2:14.04)
-Danny Lynch – 1st 200 butterfly (1:53.24), 2nd 200 individual medley (1:59.00), 3rd 200 backstroke (1:55.86)
-Jared Nickodem – 2nd 100 butterfly (52.69), 3rd 200 butterfly (1:57.67)
-Conner Van Vooren – 3rd 50 freestyle (22.34)
-Jonathan Tucker – 2nd 200 breaststroke (2:11.69)
