Box Score ROANOKE, Va. – The Washington and Lee women's soccer team cruised to an 11-0 victory at Hollins on Wednesday afternoon, with four Generals scoring at least two goals.
W&L (7-3, 3-1) scored six goals in the first half of the game improving to 31-3-1 all-time against Hollins (2-11, 0-4)
First-year forward Kelsey Chamberlin (Greensboro, N.C. / Page) recorded her first career hat trick for the Generals, tallying three goals, while also contributing one assist.
Junior midfielder Chandler Wickers (Portola Valley, Calif. / Menlo School), senior forward Tricia Jessee (Roanoke, Va. / Patrick Henry) and senior defender Ashley Hogan (North Chesterfield, Va. / Monacan) all totaled two goals apiece.
Sophomore defender Caroline Hahn (Richmond, Va. / Douglas Freeman) scored one goal and dished out three assists, while sophomore forward Caroline Peters (Charlotte, N.C. / Charlottle Latin School) tallied one goal.
Senior defender Katie Clemmons (Phoenix, Ariz. / Chaparral), sophomore midfielder Sydney Abrisz (Chesterfield, Va. / Manchester), first-year forward Caroline Bailey (Decatur, Ga. / Decatur) and first-year defender Kristen Castle (Gambrills, Md. / South River) recorded one assist each.
The Generals out-shot Hollins, 37-1, and held a 3-0 edge in corner kicks. First-year goalkeeper Leeann Passaro (Upper Saddle River, N.J. / The Lawrenceville School) played all 90 minutes and made one save for W&L. First-year Hannah Armstrong played the entire match in goal for Hollins and collected 13 saves.
Washington and Lee returns to action on Saturday when it hosts Bridgewater at 12:00 pm.
