MARYVILLE, Tenn. — Behind the attacking duo of senior outside hitter Anna Lausberg (Ocoee, Fla./Bishop Moore Catholic) and junior middle blocker Mackenzie Shand (Saline, Mich./Saline), the Washington and Lee volleyball team defeated Maryville, 3-0, at the Maryville Invitational on Saturday.

Lausberg totaled a team high 17 kills, with a .483 hitting percentage, to pace the Generals (2-2) to a 25-19, 25-21, 25-15 victory. Shand recorded eight kills on a .412 hitting percentage and notched five blocks.

Sophomore defensive specialist Katie Volk (Lancaster, Calif./Quartz Hill) led the Blue and White with 13 digs, while sophomore setter Elena West (Roanoke, Va./Northside) registered 32 assists.  

Further statistics were not immediately available after the match. W&L plays its final match at the Invitational later on Saturday at 2:00 pm against Covenant.
