Box Score LEXINGTON, Va. – Sophomore midfielder Caroline Hahn (Richmond, Va. / Douglas Freeman) tallied the game-winning goal in the 88th minute to lift the Washington and Lee women's soccer team to a 1-0 triumph over Meredith on Sunday afternoon at Watt Field.
Hahn netted the game-winner with 2:22 remaining in the contest when she struck the ball past sophomore goalie Jaisa Loch (Grimeland, N.C. / DH Conley) from the left side of the goal off of a feed from junior defender Hollis Tardy (Dallas, Texas / The Hockaday School).
For the game, Washington and Lee (3-1) outshot Meredith (2-3), 13-8, and held a 9-0 advantage in corner kicks.
Senior Addie Healy (Waterford, Va. / Woodgrove) and first-year Maggie Nolan (Flanders, N.J. / Mount Olive) split time in goal for the Generals, combining for three saves. Loch suffered the loss for the Avenging Angels, seeing all 90 minutes of action and finishing with five saves.
W&L returns to action on Friday when it hosts Randolph for a 4:00 pm contest.
