Box Score LEXINGTON, Va. — Senior Outside hitter Anna Lausberg (Ocoee, Fla./Bishop Moore Catholic) registered 13 kills to lead the Washington and Lee volleyball team to a 3-0 sweep of Southern Virginia on Saturday at the W&L Invitational.
The Generals (5-3) held the Knights (1-8) to a .074 hitting percentage in the 25-21, 26-24, 25-15 victory. W&L had 26 kills on 106 attempts with 15 errors (.198), while SVU totaled 31 kills on 121 attempts with 22 errors.
Sophomore defensive specialist Katie Volk (Lancaster, Calif./Quartz Hill) notched a match-high 22 digs for the Blue and White, while first-year outside hitter Meg Guignon (St. Louis, Mo./Visitation Academy) added nine digs. Junior middle blocker Mackenzie Shand (Saline, Mich./Saline) totaled seven kills and four blocks.
First-year outside hitter Allison Tiegs (Eagle, Idaho/Eagle) led the Knights with 14 kills, and first-year defensive specialist Ofa Moa-Sam Fong had 15 digs.
The Generals play 22nd-ranked Berry later on Saturday.
