Box Score ATLANTA, Ga. — The Washington and Lee volleyball team ended the regular season on Saturday at the Emory Invitational, losing to the top-ranked team in the country, Juniata, 3-0.
The Generals (17-14) were more competitive in each set, but the Eagles (29-2) still won in three, 25-17, 25-21, 26-24.
Senior outside hitter Anna Lausberg (Ocoee, Fla./Bishop Moore Catholic) totaled six kills to lead W&L, and first-year outside hitter Elly Cosgrove (Wilmington, N.C./John T. Hoggard) added four kills and eight digs. Sophomore setter Elena West (Roanoke, Va./Northside) registered 13 assists and eight digs.
Sophomore middle hitter Megan Moroney led Juniata with 11 kills on 17 attempts with just one error (.588 hitting percentage). Senior opposite side hitter Bryce Arnold and first-year defensive specialist Katie Byrne each had 10 digs.
The final pairings for the ODAC Tournament will not be announced until after the match between Virginia Weslyean and Roanoke on Sunday at 11:00 am. The Generals have already clinched a top four seed, and will host a quarterfinal on Wednesday at a time to be determined.
