LANCASTER, Pa. — Senior outside hitter Anna Lausberg (Ocoee, Fla./Bishop Moore Catholic) totaled 16 kills and junior middle blocker Mackenzie Shand (Saline, Mich./Saline) had 14 kills to lead the Washington and Lee volleyball team to a 3-1 victory at Franklin & Marshall on Saturday.

The Generals (17-10) lost the first set, 25-18, but won the next three, 25-18, 27-25, 25-20 to top the Diplomats (13-13). The Blue and White trailed F&M 17-14 in the third, but won 11 of the next 19 points to even the score, 25-25. From there, Shand notched a kill, and Lausberg ended the set with a service ace.

Shand recorded her 14 kills on just 29 attempts with four errors for a .345 hitting percentage. Lausberg added 14 digs and four aces to go along with her 16 kills. First-year outside hitter Meg Guignon (St. Louis, Mo./Visitation Academy) also had a double-double with 11 kills and 15 digs.

Sophomore setter Elena West (Roanoke, Va./Northside) posted 42 assists, three kills and four digs, while sophomore defensive specialist Katie Volk (Lancaster, Calif./Quartz Hill) registered a match-high 19 digs.

Senior right side Katie Foreman led the Diplomats with 13 kills, and junior outside hitter Ellie Ezekiel tallied a double-double with 12 kills and 13 digs.

The Generals return to action on Wednesday, when they host Randolph-Macon at 7:00 pm for Senior Night.
