Box Score HOLLINS, Va. – The Washington and Lee women's soccer team cruised to a 12-0 triumph over Hollins on Tuesday afternoon at the Playing Field, with eight Generals scoring at least one goal to help lead the way to the victory.
The Generals (11-3, 7-2 ODAC) scored seven goals in the first half of the match improving to 30-3-1 all-time against Hollins (0-14, 0-8 ODAC).
Senior defender Meaghan Latella (Wilton, Conn. / Wilton) recorded her first career hat trick for the Blue and White, tallying three goals, while first-year midfielder Megan Engeland (Yardley, Pa. / Pennsbury) and senior midfielder Erin Harvey (Mission Hills, Kan. / Pembroke Hill) both totaled two goals apiece.
Sophomore midfielder Chandler Wickers (Portola Valley, Calif. / Menlo School) dished out three assists, while Harvey and first-year midfielder Liz Todd (Oldwick, N.J. / Gill St. Bernard's School) recorded two assists each.
Washington and Lee out-shot Hollins, 36-5, and held a 3-0 edge in corner kicks.
Senior keeper Shelbi Hendricks (Louisville, Ky. / Kentucky Country Day) played the entire match in goal for the Generals and posted three saves. Sophomore Audrey Haisley also saw all 90 minutes of action in net and collected 10 saves for Hollins.
W&L returns to action on Saturday when it hosts Randolph-Macon for a 3:00 pm contest.
