W&L Volleyball Tames the Wildcats, 3-0

LEXINGTON, Va. — With 13 of the Washington and Lee volleyball team's 14 players getting significant playing time on Saturday morning, the Generals beat Randolph, 3-0.

The 25-18, 25-16, 25-13 victory pushed W&L to 8-3 overall and 3-0 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. The Wildcats fell to 2-10 overall and 0-3 in the league.

The Generals had four players with at least six kills with sophomore middle blocker Katie Toomb (Lebanon, Ore./Lebanon) leading the way with 13 kills. First-year outside hitter Anna Lausberg (Ocoee, Fla./Bishop Moore Catholic) added 10 kills on a .692 hitting percentage. First-year setter Alex Kinzer (Greenville, S.C./Eastside) set a new collegiate high with 31 assists and added four digs and two kills.

W&L's offense was clicking in each set, hitting at least .300 in every frame. The team ended the match hitting .416 with 51 kills on 101 attempts. On the defensive side, sophomore libero Kelly McManus (Osprey, Fla./Pine View School) tallied four service aces and 14 digs.

The Generals played later on Saturday against Averett.
