Box Score ATLANTA, Ga. –The Washington and Lee volleyball team opened the Emory National Invitational Volleyball Tournament with a 3-1 loss at the hands of No. 5 Heidelberg on Friday evening at the Woodruff P.E. Center.
W&L (25-4), fell 25-14, 23-25, 25-17, 25-22 to the fifth-ranked Student Princes.
Sophomore outside hitter M.A. Boles (Houston, Texas/St. John's) led the Blue and White with 17 kills and also added 10 digs. Senior middle blocker Lindsey Dee (Tallahassee, Fla./Maclay School) added nine kills and a pair of blocks, while senior outside hitter Megan Daily (Birmingham, Ala./Mountain Brook) chipped in eight kills.
Junior libero Cameron Hill (Tampa, Fla./H.B. Plant) posted a team-best 18 digs and two service aces. Sophomore outside hitter Alison Rouse (Troy, Mich./Troy) and sophomore setter Meghan Meleski (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) each had 10 digs and Meleski registered 35 assists.
The Generals return to action in two-day tournament when they take on second-ranked Emory at 5:00 pm.
