BALTIMORE, Md. – The Washington and Lee wrestling team
dropped a 45-3 decision to Centennial Conference-foe Johns Hopkins
on Saturday afternoon.
The Generals (1-7, 0-5) lost five matches by forfeit, contesting
only the 141-pound, 149-pound, 157-pound, 165-pound and 174-pound
weight classes.
Junior Sam Campbell (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier) was the lone
W&L wrestler to score a victory on the day, defeating Hugh
Barham Bahe by a score of 6-0 at 149 pounds.
The win improved the Blue Jays to 6-9 overall and 3-1 in the
Centennial Conference.
Washington and Lee returns to action on Saturday as it travels
to Allentown, Pa., to participate in the Muhlenberg Duals against
the host Mules and Ursinus.
