Box Score LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Washington and Lee volleyball saw its
10-match winning streak snapped with a 3-2 loss at Lynchburg
College on Wednesday evening at Turner Gymnasium.
Lynchburg improved to 9-5 overall and 3-0 in the conference
with the 25-20, 20-25, 15-25, 25-15, 15-13 win. W&L slipped to
11-2 overall and 3-1 in the ODAC.
Junior outside hitter
Megan Daily (Birmingham,
Ala./Mountain Brook) and first-year outside hitter
M.A. Boles (Houston,
Texas/St. John's) paced the Generals with 10 kills apiece and
junior middle blocker
Lindsey Dee (Tallahassee,
Fla./Maclay School) and senior middle blocker
Louise Brooks (Baltimore,
Md./Bryn Mawr) added eight kills apiece.
Boles also led W&L with 11 digs while senior defensive
specialist Jenna
Finger (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) and first-year
setter Meghan
Meleski (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) chipped in nine digs
each.
Meleski also recorded four service aces and Dee added four
blocks.
The Generals return to action on Saturday when they travel to
Virginia Wesleyan for an 11:00 am match.
