Box Score GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Washington and Lee volleyball team
overcame a 1-0 deficit to record a 3-1 victory over Guilford
College in both teams' ODAC-openers on Tuesday evening at the
Ragan-Brown Fieldhouse.
The Quakers (6-5, 0-1) took the opening set, 25-16, before the
Generals (4-1, 1-0) rallied to win the final three sets, 25-18,
25-23, 25-13. W&L used an 18-4 scoring run to erase a 9-7
deficit and pull away for the fourth-set win.

M.A. Boles (Houston,
Texas/St.John's) led all players with 17 kills. Senior middle
blocker Louise
Brooks (Baltimore, Md./Bryn Mawr) chipped in 10 kills for the
Generals and junior middle blocker
Lindsey Dee (Tallahassee,
Fla./Maclay School) and sophomore right side
Bailey Walker (Centennial,
Colo./Regis Jesuit) added eight apiece.

Cameron Hill (Tampa,
Fla./H.B. Plant) led W&L with 24 digs, while Boles added 19 and
first-year setter
Nikki DelZenero (Willowbrook, Ill./Hinsdale
Central) paced the Generals with 36 assists.
The Generals return to action on Friday when they take part in day
one of the Bridgewater College Invitational. W&L will take on
the host Eagles at 6:00 pm.
