Box Score LEXINGTON, Va. – The Washington and Lee volleyball team
opened day two of the W&L Invitational with a 3-0 victory over
Southern Virginia on Saturday morning at the Warner Center.
W&L (2-1) cruised to a 25-10 victory in the first set
before holding off the Knights (2-6), 35-33 in the second set. The
Generals completed the sweep with another 25-10 decision in the
third set.
Junior middle hitter
Lindsey Dee (Tallahassee, Fla./Maclay School)
and first-year outside hitter
M.A. Boles (Houston, Texas/St.
John's) each tallied nine digs to lead the Generals. Junior
outside hitter
Megan Daily (Birmingham, Ala./Mountain Brook)
chipped in six kill, while sophomore right side
Bailey Walker
(Centennial, Colo./Regis Jesuit) and first-year outside hitter
Allison Rouse (Troy, Mich./Troy) added four apiece.
First-year setter
Meghan Meleski (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) paced
W&L with 27 assists while Boles led the way with 10 digs.
W&L returns to action on Saturday at 3:00 pm when it takes on
Transylvania at 3:30 pm.
