Box Score LEXINGTON, Va. – The Washington and Lee volleyball team
registered its eighth-straight win with a 3-0 shutout of Eastern
Mennonite on Tuesday evening at the Warner Center.
W&L ran its record to 22-4 overall and 9-1 in the ODAC
with a 25-10, 25-17, 25-7 sweep of EMU (3-20, 0-10). With the win,
the Generals assured themselves of the top seed in the ODAC
Tournament, set to begin on Nov. 5 at Hollins University.
Junior middle blocker
Lindsey Dee (Tallahassee, Fla./Maclay School)
led W&L with nine kills, first-year outside hitter Allison
Rouse (Troy, Mich./Troy) added six and senior middle blocker Louise
Brooks (Baltimore, Md./Bryn Mawr) totaled five kills and four
service aces.
First-year setter
Meghan Meleski (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) had a
team high 18 assists and sophomore libero
Cameron Hill (Tampa,
Fla./H.B. Plant) had 12 digs as the Generals limited EMU to a -.070
hitting percentage.
W&L wraps up regular-season play on Friday and Saturday when it
takes part in the Emory National Volleyball Invitational. The
Generals begin play against Berry College on Friday at 12:00
pm.
