Box Score LEXINGTON, Va. – The Washington and Lee volleyball team
swept Emory & Henry, 3-0, in ODAC volleyball action on Tuesday
night at the Warner Center.
The Generals improved to 19-4 overall and 7-1 in the ODAC with
the 25-21, 25-16, 25-15 win over the Wasps (8-14, 4-5 ODAC).
W&L was led junior outside hitter
Megan Daily (Birmingham,
Ala./Mountain Brook) and junior middle blocker
Lindsey Dee
(Tallahassee, Fla./Maclay School), who totaled a team-high nine
kills each. Senior middle blocker
Louise Brooks (Baltimore,
Md./Bryn Mawr) and first-year outside hitter
M.A. Boles (Houston,
Texas/St. John's) each chipped in seven kills.
First-year setters
Meghan Meleski (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) and
Nikki DelZenero (Willowbrook, Ill./Hinsdale Central) racked up 19
and 14 assists, respectively.
Sophomore libero
Cameron Hill (Tampa, Fla./H.B. Plant) led the
Generals with 16 digs and junior defensive specialist Megan
Tomlinson (Petersburg, Pa./Huntingdon Area) added 10.
The Generals return to action on Saturday with a pair of matches.
W&L hosts Randolph at 11:00 am followed by a 3:00 pm match with
Hollins.
