Box Score HARRISONBURG, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team
improved to 2-1 in conference play with a 3-0 win over Eastern
Mennonite on Tuesday evening.
W&L (3-5, 2-1 ODAC) won its second-straight conference tilt
with a 25-22, 25-22, 25-14, sweep of the Royals (7-6, 2-1).
Senior right side Kelly Harrison (Knoxville, Tenn./Webb School)
led a balanced offensive attack for the Generals with 10 kills.
Junior middle blocker Louise Brooks (Baltimore, Md./Bryn Mawr)
added seven kills, junior outside hitter Marah Schmitz (Phoenix,
Md./Dulaney) had six kills and sophomore middle blocker Lindsey Dee
(Tallahassee, Fla./Maclay School) chipped in five kills.
First-year libero Cameron Hill (Tampa, Fla./H.B. Plant) led
W&L with 13 digs and senior setter Megan Steinhardt had 27
assists.
For the match, the Generals hit .333 as a team, while limiting EMU
to a hitting percentage of .000.
W&L returns to action on Friday, when it takes on Shorter at
2:00 pm in the opening match of the Emory Tournament.
