ASHLAND, Va. – The Washington and Lee men's soccer
team battled OCAC-foe Randolph-Macon to a 0-0 double-overtime tie
on Tuesday afternoon in Ashland.
Despite hard efforts by both teams, neither squad could find the
back of the net in 110 minutes of play. W&L (2-1-2, 0-0-1 ODAC)
led in corner kicks 10-4, while Randolph-Macon (0-6-1, 0-6-1 ODAC)
took the lead in shots, 22-16.
Sophomore goalie Alex Lambert (Massapequa Park, N.Y./Charminade)
played all 110 minutes in net, recording five saves. Randolph-Macon
goalie Jason DePre also played the duration, recording five
saves.
The Generals return to action Saturday as they travel to Lynchburg
for a 7:00 pm match.
