W&L Volleyball Upended by Gettysburg, 3-2

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team fell, 3-2, to Gettysburg on Saturday afternoon at the Warner Center.

Gettysburg won the five-set match by scores of 19-25, 25-18, 22-25, 25-21, 15-13 to remain unbeaten against the Generals all-time.

Junior middle blocker Louise Brooks (Baltimore, Md./Bryn Mawr) led W&L (2-5) with 18 kills, while senior outside hitter Rachael Phillips (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Prep) added 14 kills and 16 digs.

First-year libero Cameron Hill (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Prep) led W&L with 22 digs, while senior setter Megan Steinhardt (Cedar Park, Texas/Cedar Park) contributed a season-high 51 assists.

W&L returns to action on Tuesday when it takes on Eastern Mennonite at 6:30 pm.
