MONTGOMERY, W.Va. -- The Washington and Lee wrestling team
picked up four forfeit wins en route to a 39-9 victory at West
Virginia Tech on Saturday afternoon.
The Generals received forfeit victories at 125, 133, 184 and 197
pounds and also gained wins by pin at 157 and 285 pounds.
First-year David Dennis (Sherman, W.Va./Ravenswood) logged a win by
fall over Mike Tyler at 157 pounds, producing the victory in 1:56
for his third-straight win. Senior John Christopher (Fort
Lauderdale, Fla./Cardinal Gibbons) also notched a win by fall,
defeating Ben Harper in 2:41 at 285 pounds. For Christopher, it was
his 10th win in his last 11 matches.
Senior Rob Terrin (Baltimore, Md./Friends) won for the eighth time
in his last 10 matches, producing a 7-2 victory over John Jones at
165 pounds.
With the win, the Generals improved to 4-5 on the season. They
return to action on Wednesday as they host the Apprentice School
for a 7:00 pm dual match.
