LEXINGTON, Va. -- Washington and Lee senior guard Emily Wolff (Allison Park, Pa./Hampton) tied a season-high with 15 points and added eight boards as the Generals posted a 73-37 win over Hollins in ODAC women's basketball action on Tuesday evening at the Warner Center.
The Generals (9-14, 8-10) never trailed in the contest and scored the first nine points of the game en route to a 43-20 lead at the break. W&L extended its advantage in the second half, holding Hollins to just four field goals, as it sailed to the 36-point victory.
The Blue and White held a 51-29 advantage on the boards and forced 33 HU turnovers.
Wolff was joined in double-figure scoring for W&L by freshman center Felice Herman's (Fairfield, Pa./Delone Catholic) 10 points and game-high 12 rebounds. Junior forward Kara Nadeau (Oak Hill, Va./Oakton) added nine points, seven rebounds and a game-high four assists, while freshman center Alex Harper (Oak Hill, Va./Chantilly) tallied a career-high eight points and four rebounds.
Freshman guard Tamara Phillips (Roanoke, Va./Lord Botetourt) led Hollins (0-22, 0-17) with 16 points, while senior forward Nicole Grant (South Boston, Va./Carlisle) totaled 10 points and seven rebounds.
Washington and Lee returns to action on Friday when it travels to Emory, Va., to take on Emory & Henry at 7:00 pm.
