GREENSBORO, N.C.-- Senior forward Amanda Kane (Fairfax Station, Va./Robinson) led three Generals in double-digits with a career-high 26 points as Washington and Lee cruised to an 86-61 win over Guilford in ODAC women's basketball action on Tuesday evening at the Ragan Brown Field House.
The Generals  shot 63.3 percent (19-30) from the floor and a blistering 77.8 percent (7-9) from behind the arc in the first half.
The opening minutes were tight and neither team led by more than four points in the first 9:11. W&L went on a 9-2 run (32-19) and continued to lead the rest of the half. The Generals  closed out the first stanza with a 20-point advantage, 48-28.
The Quakers outscored the Blue and White 19-8 and cut the score to an 11-point game at 10:17 (58-47) in the second half. However, W&L held GC scoreless over the next 5:17 to assume a 26-point lead (73-47) at the 5:00 mark and cruised to the 25-point victory.
The Generals (8-13, 7-9) were led by Kane, who grabbed eight boards to go along with her 26 points, while junior guard Bethany Ridenhour (Westwood, N.J./Holy Angels) notched 18 points and a career-high eight assists. Freshman center Felice Herman (Fairfield, Pa./Delone Catholic) tallied a career-high 14 points and totaled eight rebounds and senior guard Kristen Krouchick (Holland, Pa./Nazareth Academy) amassed nine points, nine rebounds and six assists.
Junior forward Tracey Croner led four Quakers (10-12, 5-12) in double-figures with 16 points. Junior guard Jessica Casto recorded 14 points, while freshman forward Destiny Carden totaled 11 points. Freshman guard Lauren LeFevers tallied 11 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
Washington and Lee returns to action on Saturday as it hosts Eastern Mennonite for a 2:00 pm contest.
