ASHLAND, Va. – Senior midfielder Josh Dodds (Marion, Iowa/Linn-Mar) tallied a pair of goals to lead Washington and Lee to a 2-1 victory over Randolph-Macon in ODAC men's soccer action on Wednesday afternoon in Ashland, Va.
Dodds opened the scoring just 8:50 into the game when he slipped a shot past Yellow Jacket goalkeeper Jason DePre. He then gave the Generals (4-1-2, 2-0-1) a 2-0 advantage just 1:26 later when he headed in a corner kick delivered by junior midfielder Tommy Pignatelli (Chatham, N.J./Chatham).
Randolph-Macon (3-6, 1-2) closed to within 2-1 just 50 seconds into the second half on a Chris Williams goal off a feed from Ryan Willis, but could not come up with the tying score.
