EMORY, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team upped its record to 7-5 overall and 2-1 in the ODAC with a 30-25, 30-22, 30-25 victory over Emory & Henry Tuesday evening.
In the win over Emory & Henry (9-5, 2-3), the Generals (7-5, 2-1) were paced by sophomore setter Kristi Stevens' (Overland Park, Kan./Shawnee Mission South) 24 assists and 14 digs and junior middle blocker Kassie Bagley (Midlothian, Va./James River), who tallied 11 kills and three blocks. Senior right side Jess Hudock (Tampa, Fla./Holy Names) posted nine kills and 11 digs and junior outside hitter Laura Maurer (Sparta, N.J./Pope John XXIII) registered 15 digs.
With the loss, Emory & Henry fell to 9-5 overall and 2-3 in the ODAC.
Washington and Lee returns to ODAC action on Saturday when it hosts Virginia Wesleyan for a 3:00 pm contest.
