Box Score AMHERST, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team improved to 4-3 overall and 1-1 in the ODAC with a 30-13, 30-17, 30-23 win over Sweet Briar College on Wednesday evening.
The Generals were paced by sophomore right side Kelly Harrison (Knoxville, Tenn./Webb School), who tallied seven kills, seven digs, four aces and three blocks, while senior setter Lauren Rudolph (Ft. Wayne, Ind./Concordia Lutheran) notched 11 assists and three aces.
Also making headway for the Generals were sophomore outside hitter Rachael Phillips (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Prep), who recorded eight kills and sophomore right side Jessica Bunnell (Wilmington, Del./Ursuline Academy), who tallied seven digs.
With the loss, Sweet Briar fell to 1-10 overall and 0-3 in the ODAC.
Washington and Lee will continue its season this weekend as the Generals compete in the Emory Invitational. W&L begins the tournament on Friday by playing Heidelberg at 2:00 pm.
