LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team improved to 10-5 overall and 4-1 in the ODAC with a 30-27, 30-16, 30-21 victory over Guilford College on Wednesday evening at the Warner Center.

W&L was led by junior outside hitter Laura Maurer's (Sparta, N.J./Pope John XXIII) 13 kills, while sophomore setter Kristi Stevens (Overland Park, Kan./Shawnee Mission So.) tallied 25 assists and six digs. Junior right side Jessica Ulrich (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) added four service aces and five digs.

With the loss, the Quakers fell to 6-14 overall and 1-5 in the ODAC.

The Generals return to action this weekend as they compete in the Averett Invitational. W&L opens the tournament by taking on Queens at 5:30 pm.
