HARRISONBURG, Va. – Junior forward Anne Van Devender (Jackson, Miss./Choate Rosemary) tallied one goal and two assists as the Washington and Lee women's soccer team posted a 3-1 win over Eastern Mennonite on Tuesday afternoon in Harrisonburg, Va.

Van Devender helped the Generals (15-3, 9-2) take a 2-0 halftime lead as she assisted on goals by junior midfielder Katie Kern (Charleston, W.Va./Charleston Catholic) in the eighth minute and senior forward Shana Oltmans (Albuquerque, N.M./Valley) in the 44th minute. She then extended the W&L edge in the second half with a goal at 58:13. Jessica Myers scored the Royals' lone goal in the 83rd minute, but it wasn't enough as W&L held on for the 3-1 triumph.

Junior netminder Kiki Moreo (Westport, Conn./Staples) tallied one save for W&L, while Abigale Diffenbach made five saves for EMU (9-6-2, 6-5). This contest concluded the regular season for both teams.

With the win, the Generals will most likely be the third seed in the 2007 ODAC Women's Soccer Tournament and will host the sixth seed on Saturday. Game time and opponent have yet to be determined.
