W&L Volleyball Handles Randolph, 3-0

LYNCHBURG, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team defeated Randolph College, 30-6, 30-19, 30-21, on Saturday afternoon at the Physical Education and Recreation (PER).

The Generals (22-5, 8-1), who have won 18-consecutive matches, were paced by junior outside hitter Laura Maurer (Sparta, N.J./Pope John XXIII), who notched six kills and eight digs, while senior right side Jess Hudock (Tampa, Fla./Holy Names) recorded six kills and six digs. Sophomore outside hitter Rachael Phillips (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Prep) registered 11 kills, while freshman setter Jenna Finger (Homer, Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) amassed 14 assists and eight digs. Junior right side Jessica Ulrich (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) totaled five kills and seven digs and freshman middle blocker Louise Brooks (Baltimore, Md./Bryn Mawr) chipped in three kills and three blocks.

With the loss, Randolph fell to 4-21 overall and 2-6 in the ODAC.

The Blue and White returns to ODAC action on Wednesday as it hosts Lynchburg at 6:30 p.m.
