LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee men's soccer team stretched its unbeaten streak to 11 matches and posted its sixth-straight shutout with a 1-0 victory over Emory & Henry on Tuesday afternoon at Watt Field.

Senior forward Jack Palmer (Williamsburg, Va./Jamestown) put the Generals ahead in the first half when he blasted the ball passed E&H goalkeeper Daniel Mills (Abingdon, Va./Abingdon) in the 36th minute and W&L held on to the one-goal lead for the duration of the game.

The Generals (10-1-2, 6-0-1) held advantages in shots (35-5) and corner kicks (18-1).

Senior goalkeeper Ted Sheedy (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) made three saves in the shutout, while Mills racked up 12 saves for the Wasps (7-9-1, 0-6-1).

The Generals return to action on Saturday when they take on Virginia Wesleyan at 4:30 pm in Norfolk, Va.
