BRIDGEWATER, Va. -- Junior midfielder John Lindsay (Cockeysville, Md./Loyola Blakefield) registered one goal and one assist as the Washington and Lee men's soccer team upped its unbeaten streak to 10 games with a 2-0 win over Bridgewater on Saturday afternoon.

Junior forward Whitt Larkin (Alexandria, Va./Episcopal) notched the first Generals' goal early in the first half off an assist from Lindsay at 8:57. Lindsay then added an insurance goal in the 71st minute to lead the Blue and White to the 2-0 final margin.

Senior Ted Sheedy (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) played the duration of the contest in the pipes for W&L, making two saves. Zane Lineberry tallied seven stops for the Eagles.

With the win, the Generals improve to 9-1-2 overall (5-0-1 ODAC), while Bridgewater fell to 4-11 overall (1-6 ODAC) with the loss.

The Generals return to action on Tuesday when they host Emory & Henry at 4:30 pm.
