VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- The Washington and Lee women's soccer team maintained its unbeaten season with a 0-0 double-overtime tie with Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday evening at the Trinder Center.
The Generals, who have not allowed a goal all season, battled the Marlins for 120 minutes but neither team could find the back of the net.
Sophomore goalkeeper Kiki Moreo (Westport, Conn./Staples) made seven saves in the contest for W&L and picked up her fourth shutout of the season. Lindsey Williams minded the goal for VWC, notching two saves.
Virginia Wesleyan (4-3-1, 1-1-1 ODAC) held the advantage in shots, 14-8, and corner kicks, 7-1.
The Generals (5-0-1, 3-0-1 ODAC) continue conference play on Tuesday as they travel to Bridgewater, Va., to take on the Eagles at 4 pm.
