GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The 25th-ranked Washington and Lee men's soccer team stretched its unbeaten streak to 10 games with a 2-0 win over Guilford on Saturday afternoon in Greensboro, N.C.
Junior midfielder Josh Dodds (Marion, Iowa/Linn-Mar) broke into the scoring column for W&L with an unassisted tally at 23:00 for a 1-0 lead at the half.
The Generals, who are having their best start in program history, found the back of the net again in the second half when junior forward Jack Palmer (Williamsburg, Va./Jamestown) scored off an assist from senior forward Kyle Garcia (Atlanta, Ga./Westminster) at 61:53.
Junior Jim Tartaglia (Richmond, Va./J.R. Tucker) made two saves in goal for W&L, while Zane Campbell notched nine saves in goal for the Quakers (3-6-1, 0-3 ODAC).
The Generals (9-0-1, 4-0 ODAC) continue their ODAC schedule on Wednesday when they travel to Harrisonburg, Va., to take on Eastern Mennonite at 7 pm.
